Ordering Policy


Specialty cakes, wedding cakes and all other dessert orders can be done through email and phone as well as through personalized consultation appointments. Before placing a cake and/or dessert order please have the following:

  • date of your event

  • type of occasion

  • number of servings being requested/amount of guests

  • idea or cake design in mind

  • cake flavor choice(s)

  • dessert ideas/themes




  • Hot Out of the Oven reserves the right to make any last-minute adjustments to cakes and/or desserts as needed, for presentation purposes and/or structural purposes.

  • Color matches are not always guaranteed exact, but are as close as can be.

  • Fondant embellishments are edible; however, our cakes and detailed pieces may have inedible parts such as toothpicks, dowels, paper, wire etc. Please take note before consuming.

  • In respect of other designer’s work, Hot Out of the Oven will not replicate their design(s), however will try to duplicate their work as close as possible within our ability.


  • We use fresh ingredients and bake fresh to order. Ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, fruits and nuts. Preservatives are not used in our products.

  • At this time, we do not guarantee 100% gluten free, dairy free or sugar free products and are not a certified Kosher establishment. Also note that some of our products may contain nuts.

  • Cakes and Cupcakes are best served at room temperature the day of or the day after you pick up your order and will keep fresh for about 4 to 6 days afterwards if stored properly in a refrigerated unit.


  • Payments must be made in full via check or cash on the day of delivery OR check by mail.

  • Cancellations must be made no later than 14 days prior to event scheduled.

  • No returns are excepted due to the nature of the work produced.

  • Changes to orders must be made 1 week in advance. Extra charges may apply.

  • If for some unforeseen circumstance (i.e. natural emergency, power outage, fire, road closure, or due to bakers’ illness) that are out of Hot Out of the Oven’s control, we will issue you a credit for the amount you were previously invoiced for and/or return any deposits made.

  • In the event of a personal emergency that prevents Hot Out of the Oven from completing the order, delivery and/or set up, Hot Out of the Oven will attempt to make arrangements with alternate cake providers to do the work, and will provide credit to the client in proportion to the amount of work Hot Out of the Oven was not able to do.



  • Hot Out of the Oven always recommends delivery to ensure no damage to your order, however we are not liable for any damages to your cake and/or other desserts if pick up by client is desired. Any changes requested after pick up may be done for an extra charge.

  • All cakes and desserts should be transported on a flat and level surface in your vehicle. If you are serving it the same day, most cakes can be left at room temperature, you will be instructed otherwise for different desserts etc. On hot days cakes and cupcakes should be kept cool as buttercream will melt, outdoor events are subject to unforeseen weather conditions, bugs and un-leveled surfaces which we are not reliable for.

  • If you have sent someone else to pick up your order, they are responsible for making sure that the order is to your satisfaction before leaving.
